Every vote in Assembley is tied to a unique authentication token and recorded with a timestamp and IP address. The evidence package contains the complete vote log. If a shareholder claims their vote was recorded incorrectly, you can show them their entry in the log — token, timestamp, and the option they selected. Votes are write-once at the database level: no administrator, including Assembley, can alter a submitted vote. If the log shows their vote correctly, the claim cannot be sustained against the cryptographic record.

Votes already cast are persisted immediately — a connectivity loss after submission does not lose a vote. If a voter's connection drops mid-vote, their ballot link remains valid until the voting window closes. We recommend pausing the voting window from the live view if there is an extended outage — this is a one-click action. The pause is recorded in the audit log. Once connectivity is restored, reopen the window and notify participants. The total voting window can be extended by the administrator at any time.

Assembley logs every email send with a timestamp and delivery status. If a voter claims non-receipt, you can check the delivery log and resend from the Participants tab — the resent link invalidates the previous one. If the voter is present at an in-person assembly, they can access their ballot via QR code. If all else fails, the administrator can record an authorised vote on their behalf with a documented authorisation — this is logged separately in the audit record.

Export the evidence package immediately — it is available the moment the assembly closes. The package contains the complete event chain, individual vote records, quorum confirmation, Merkle root verification, and a SHA-256 hash chain. Any challenge must identify a specific defect in that record. Because the chain is cryptographically linked, any tampering would break it at a detectable point. Present the package to your legal adviser. In our experience, challenges that reach this stage are resolved at the evidence review — before any formal proceeding begins.
